Michael, his wife Angel, and their 3 children relocated from Texas to Discovery Bay in 2014.   Angel’s family has lived in Discovery Bay since the early 1980s, and during a visit, they fell in love with the small town atmosphere and the stunning beauty of the California Delta.  

Michael and family founded a local coffee shop and ice cream parlor, Callahan’s Coffee and Cones in 2016.  Michael, with a 30 year background in technology, also serves as a Senior Systems Engineer in the finance sector.  There he is responsible for the design, implementation, scoping, and budgeting of multimillion dollar projects involving a myriad of technology as well as the design and operation of multiple tier 1 data center facilities around the world.  Michael also serves on the Discovery Bay Chamber of Commerce, as well as being very active in many volunteer roles. 

Michael’s goal is to provide disciplined, tested, and measured approaches to the challenges and concerns of the Discovery Bay community while ensuring full transparency and accountability in the process.
