District Government
The Town of Discovery Bay is a California independent Community Services District (CSD) that was authorized by the voters of Discovery Bay in 1998 to provide more local control with respect to many of the issues facing Discovery Bay. Similar to a city council in an incorporated city, the District is governed by an elected five-member Board of Directors. While we do not have a Mayor or Vice Mayor, we do have a President and Vice President. The District also has an appointed General Manager to carry out the policy decisions of the Board and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Town of Discovery Bay.
